Welcome to Yakima Maker Space Tool Share Library.

On this site, you can explore and reserve tools from our library of tools to help you on your personal projects off-site. Once you reserve tools you can then come down to the space on Saturday to check them out for up to a week at a time.  With COVID-19, not all members feel safe using the facilities, but we want to make sure the "MAKING" continues as we adapt to the new paradigm of living with COVID-19.

The BEST way to support this tool library is by donating your unused tools AND getting your friends and family to donate their unused tools.  The second best way is to support us financially. Click Here

WHAT IS Yakima Maker Sapce
Yakima Maker Space is a community of people just like you. We are: artists, makers, hackers, entrepreneurs, educators, and craft enthusiasts with various interests and skills.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Y.M.S. provides the space, the tools, and the community for you to create, collaborate and educate. You provide the ideas and the materials, and your monthly dues cover access to the space and the tools. All of the skills needed to operate any of the equipment in Yakima Maker Space can be acquired by participating in one of our many classes or workshops.

Most of our tools are available to use as soon as your membership begins. However, some tools require sign-off before you may use them including: the table saw, miter saw, CNC router table, and wood lathe for example.

We have woodshop orientations every other Monday. The ceramics area also requires orientation from one of the instructors before you can begin. *COVID has put a hamper on this for a bit.
